We are promoting Socially Sustainable Human-Robot Interaction,  empowering under-resourced communities to benefit from the fruits of HRI research. The framework includes designing affordable robots that can be built, maintained and operated by non-technical community members; and content can be added with a no-code approach. We have implemented the framework in Arab communities in Israel that designed and used our social robot Valera to teach 1st and 2nd graders Arabic and Hebrew, with amazing improvements.
